I will leave next week, on Sunday the 4th of November. Still couple of working days left to go and time for packing the backpack. I don't know how can I ever fit all those books I am planning to take with me... If you had to take just one book with you, what would it be? I prefer pocket books, easy and light to carry and leave behind when read.
I have been busy arranging the trip and organising everything at work. It has been sad to leave my clients and interesting projects, even thought I know that this is what I need to do now for a while. I believe that it is good for the business relationships to get some change, new people see things differently.
It would be so easy to stay and continue doing things as always, so comfortable and predictable. But I hope that taking a break I could be better at my work, see things clearer and from a fresher angle. I need to walk my talk as a Coach: you are the best specialist of your own life, you know what it's best for you - and then just go for it.
But to be realistic, I am not sure after all if I'll get any big insights by resting on my hammock, reading pocket books and sipping pinaple smoothies, but two things have changed for sure after a year: I'll be broke and a year older!
It has been wonderful to see a new colleague to be so enthusiasticly starting a new career, and it's so rewarding to be able to train and mentor her. My colleagues and I had a dinner together the other day and I received a natural stone as a gift. The stone has a writing: "Your heart will be your map, your memories your home". I will remember that. Thank you again!
